Brushless Blower Motor for Air Sampler

Model BLM-240 is a brushless blower motor for high volume air samplers. Because there are no carbon brushes, there is nothing to inspect or replace during service, which suits rooftop stations, remote sites and installations that run unattended for long periods. It draws 1200 W, delivers an airflow of more than 3.5 m3/min and has a continuous working time of more than 7 days.

Brushed Against Brushless in High Volume Sampling

A brushed motor transfers power through carbon brushes that rub against a rotating commutator. The brushes are consumed over time and must be checked and replaced, and the commutator surface wears with them. A brushless motor switches the current electronically, so there are no consumable brushes and no commutator to re-face. For a station that is visited only on a planned schedule, that difference shows up directly in maintenance hours and in the number of aborted sampling runs.

Why Airflow Headroom Matters

The BLM-240 delivers an airflow of more than 3.5 m3/min at a power input of 1200 W. High volume methods are written around a nominal flow rate, and the sampling train adds resistance as the filter loads, as the inlet collects particles and as ambient conditions change. Delivering more than the nominal airflow leaves room for that resistance, so the operator can hold the set flow through a full run without pushing the motor to its limit.

Fitting the Motor to a Sampler

The motor measures 200x190x225 mm and weighs 2.8 kgs, and it mounts inside the blower motor housing in the same position as the brushed equivalent. Stations running a brushed motor can convert when the brushes reach the end of their life, and new sampler builds can specify the brushless unit from the start. Housing, filter holder and exhaust path stay unchanged, so the mechanical part of the sampling train is not affected.

Applications, Packing and Warranty

The brushless blower motor is used in PM10, PM2.5 and TSP high volume samplers at ambient monitoring networks, industrial fenceline stations, mining and construction dust programmes and research sites. It is packed in a 23x21x26cm export carton with a lead time of 7 days and carries a one-year warranty. OEM marking and volume pricing are available for sampler builders.

No Carbon Brushes to Replace

A brushed motor needs its carbon brushes checked and renewed as they wear, and on a rooftop or remote station that means a site visit and a stopped sampler if the brushes fail between visits. The brushless design removes the task from the maintenance schedule and with it the risk of an unplanned outage during a sampling campaign.

Airflow Headroom for a Loaded Filter

The motor delivers an airflow of more than 3.5 m3/min, which is above the nominal high volume sampling rate. That margin matters: a loaded filter, a PM10 inlet and a long inlet tube all add pressure drop to the sampling train, and a motor with headroom holds the flow on target instead of falling away as the run proceeds.

Built for Unmanned Stations

Continuous working time is more than 7 days, so the motor suits programmes that run a full weekly sampling cycle without an operator present, including rooftop, fenceline and portable trailer installations. Fewer wearable parts also means fewer spares to hold in inventory.

1200 W and 2.8 kgs for Standard Housings

The motor draws 1200 W, measures 200x190x225 mm and weighs 2.8 kgs, so it fits the blower motor housing envelope used across the high volume air sampler platform. It is ordered both as an upgrade for stations already running brushed motors and for new sampler builds where long-term maintenance cost matters.

Factory Supply with a One-Year Warranty

T4 AIR SAMPLER manufactures air sampling hardware in Foshan and supports OEM and ODM programmes as well as single-unit spare part orders. The brushless blower motor ships in 7 days in a 23x21x26cm carton and carries a one-year warranty.

What is the advantage of a brushless blower motor?
There are no carbon brushes to check or replace, so the motor needs no scheduled brush maintenance. That matters most on rooftop, remote or unmanned stations, where a failure between visits means a lost sampling period.
The brushless motor mounts inside the same blower motor housing envelope, so the mechanical swap is normally direct. Brushless motors need a suitable drive, so tell us which motor and controller you currently run and we will confirm the setup.
More than 3.5 m3/min at a power input of 1200 W, which leaves headroom for a loaded filter and for the pressure drop of a PM10 inlet.
Continuous working time is more than 7 days, which covers a full weekly sampling cycle without operator intervention.
Lead time is 7 days and the warranty is one year. The motor is packed in a 23x21x26cm carton.
