Gas Flow Calibrator 3-30 LPM for Air Sampler
Model SXF2024-30 is a digital primary gas flow calibrator used to check the flow rate of a low volume air sampler before and after each sampling campaign and to set the flow of a new sampling train. Its calibration range of 300 mL/min to 30 L/min covers PM10 and PM2.5 low volume methods at 16.7 L/min, and the instrument fits inside the CH-01 aluminum calibrator housing.

Why Flow Calibration Decides the Reported Result
An air sampler converts a filter mass into an airborne concentration by dividing that mass by the volume of air drawn through the filter. The volume is the flow rate multiplied by the sampling time, so an error in the flow rate becomes a proportional error in the reported concentration. A primary flow calibrator lets the operator measure the actual flow and adjust the train until it matches the method value. Checking before and after a campaign also shows whether the flow drifted while the sampler was running unattended.
Using the Calibrator in the Field
The range of 300 mL/min to 30 L/min covers low volume PM10 and PM2.5 sampling at 16.7 L/min and lower rate methods. The instrument measures 150 x 123 x 68 mm, weighs 0.5 kgs and fits inside the CH-01 aluminum calibrator housing, which holds it in position during the check and protects it in transit. A calibration normally means running the sampler with a filter in place, connecting the calibrator to the train, taking a reading and adjusting the flow until the reading matches the method value.
Accuracy, Records and Packing
Flow accuracy is within plus or minus 1 percent of full scale, which keeps the flow contribution to overall uncertainty well below the mass measurement in most programmes. Recording the calibrator reading and the sampler flow setting at each visit gives the laboratory a traceable calibration history for every station. The instrument ships in an 18x15x10cm carton under ERP number 63012-000-097.
Applications, Lead Time and Warranty
The calibrator is used by environmental agencies, contract laboratories, research groups and industrial hygiene teams running low volume sampling programmes, and by integrators who build and commission sampling trains. Lead time is 7 days and the instrument carries a one-year warranty. It is supplied alongside low volume samplers, cyclones and filter holders so that a complete field kit can ship together.
Verify Flow Before and After Every Campaign
Flow rate is the variable that turns a filter weight into an airborne concentration, so checking the sampler flow with a primary calibrator before and after a campaign is what makes that concentration defensible. The check is normally written into the sampling method, and this instrument gives the field team a portable means of carrying it out on site.
300 mL/min to 30 L/min Range
The range covers PM10 and PM2.5 low volume methods at 16.7 L/min as well as lower rate sampling, so a single calibrator serves the whole low volume programme. As a primary device it measures the flow directly, which avoids stacking a secondary reference on top of the sampling train.
Accuracy Within 1 Percent of Full Scale
Flow accuracy is within plus or minus 1 percent of full scale, which keeps the flow contribution to measurement uncertainty small compared with the mass measurement in most programmes. For laboratories reporting against national limit values, that margin is what supports the reported concentrations.
Fits the CH-01 Calibrator Housing
The instrument measures 150 x 123 x 68 mm and weighs 0.5 kgs, so it fits inside the CH-01 aluminum calibrator housing, which holds it in position during a check and protects it in transit. The complete unit travels in an 18x15x10cm carton and is light enough for one person to carry between stations.
Factory Spares and a One-Year Warranty
T4 AIR SAMPLER supplies the calibrator for low volume sampling programmes and for integrators commissioning sampling trains, with a lead time of 7 days and a one-year warranty. Calibrator housings, filter holders and cyclones can be ordered at the same time so that the full field kit arrives in one shipment.
