Cabinet for PM10/PM2.5 Low Volume Double Channel Sampler
Model CB-LVGT-D is the cabinet for our PM10/PM2.5 low volume double channel air sampler. It houses a complete two channel sampling train in a lockable, powder coated aluminum enclosure measuring 820x820x1320 mm, so the pumps, control boxes and flow meters stay out of the weather. It is intended for monitoring agencies, station builders and distributors who need a weatherproof housing that keeps the flow of both channels stable.

What the CB-LVGT-D Cabinet Is
CB-LVGT-D is the enclosure for our PM10/PM2.5 low volume double channel air sampler. It provides a lockable space for a two channel sampling train, including the pumps, the control boxes and the flow meters, and it stands 820x820x1320 mm on the ground. The cabinet weighs 14 kgs and is made from aluminum with a powder coating.
The same enclosure suits other low volume trains of similar size, and it is supplied on its own so that a station can be rebuilt or extended without ordering a complete sampler.
How It Protects the Sampling Train
Ambient temperature is one of the main causes of flow drift in low volume sampling. When a pump sits in direct sunlight its body temperature rises, and the flow it delivers changes with it. The powder coated cabinet blocks rain, dust and solar gain, so the pumps run at a more constant temperature and the flow rates of both channels stay where they were set.
The closed cabinet also protects the instruments from interference between visits. Filters, flow records and control settings stay behind a locked door, which matters at roadside and fenceline sites where equipment is accessible to the public.
Installation on Site
The cabinet is light enough for two people to position without lifting equipment, and it stands on its own base at the sampling point. The inlet assembly is mounted above it, the sampling lines are connected to the inlets, and the internal layout leaves room for filters and sample handling materials. Because the two channel version is 100 mm lower than the single channel CB-LVGT, its center of gravity is lower, which helps at exposed sites.
Packing and Lead Time
Each cabinet is packed in a plywood box with a gross weight of 17 kgs, which protects the powder coated panels during sea freight. Units ship from stock under ERP number 98022-000-404 and carry a three year warranty, so a replacement cabinet can be dispatched without a long production wait. Distributors who hold stock usually combine the cabinet, the moveable bracket and the inlet parts in one shipment.
Keeps Flow Stable Through the Seasons
Rain, dust and direct sunlight all change the temperature inside a sampling enclosure, and a pump that runs hot delivers a different flow than one that runs cool. The powder coated cabinet shields the pumps, control boxes and flow meters from solar gain and weather, so each channel keeps the flow rate that was set and the two filters represent comparable air volumes.
A Lockable Space for the Whole Train
Both sampling trains, their control boxes and their flow meters fit inside the enclosure, where they can be closed and locked between site visits. That protects the instruments from tampering as well as from weather, and it means the sampling point does not need a separate instrument shelter.
Lower Profile Than the Single Channel Cabinet
The CB-LVGT-D stands 100 mm lower than the single channel CB-LVGT because the two channel intake is arranged differently. The reduced height keeps the cabinet steady at exposed sites while leaving enough internal room for the pumps and for sample handling accessories.
Light Enough to Install Without a Crane
At 14 kgs the cabinet can be lifted and positioned by two people, so a station can be installed on a roof, a balcony or a fenced plot without hiring lifting equipment. The plywood box used for shipping brings the gross weight to 17 kgs, which keeps handling and freight costs predictable.
Ships from Stock with a Three Year Warranty
Cabinets are held in stock under ERP number 98022-000-404, so replacements arrive without a production wait. The same enclosure is used by our own double channel sampler, which means buyers can order the cabinet, the inlet assembly and the connecting parts as one matched set.
